Fresh Out Of The Kiln!!

Wow!...I am just THRILLED with my latest kiln firing!
I have been hand-etching spectacular textured dichroic glass...this is a really special glass that changes during the kiln firing. and I call it my 'magic' glass.
For example, the silver glass is actually a flat violet purple before its fired, and during the kiln firing when the glass starts to get red hot and starts to melt you can actually watch the color change to silver... and you can watch the crystal-like texture start to form.
By the time you open the kiln again after the glass has cooled, it has completely changed from the flat violet purple to the most eye-catching textured silver!...It really is amazing, and I LOVE it:)

What I love most about this glass is the way the light catches it, and how much it sparkles in the sunlight.
As well as my most popular silver textured glass, I also experimented with a very pretty pink textured glass. The glossy bold black parts of these hand-etched pendants really contrasts beautifully with the silver and the pink....I'm so happy with them:)

Hi:)
I just wanted to let you know that I've closed my etsy shop...just for a few days... so I can spend lots of quality time with my Mum.
